| Art's the undisputed captain of Northern Exposure. It's his eighth boat in a time span of four decades, and his first powerboat that's bigger than a dinghy. He plans our itineraries and all the entry requirements, manages the library of charts and cruising guides, maintains the vessel's many systems and electronics and does more than a person's share of household maintenance. |
| Karen's boat responsibilities are mostly on the software side, literally and figuratively. She writes the boat applications for inventory and maintenance, manages the touring, keeps a detailed journal, updates the web site, and cooks up a storm onboard. We both think we get the better deal. | |
